Dr. Debbie Jacob Life Enrichment Series

Dr. Marty’s visit is cosponsored by the Dr. Debbie Jacob Life Enrichment Series. Before her death in 2005, Debbie and her husband Will created a program to fund speakers in adult education on topics such as sociology, economics, art, music, and theology. Dr. Marty’s visit is the first in this series, which is presented as part of King of Glory’s 50th Anniversary celebration.

Dr. Debbie Jacob, a native Texan, spent 30 years in public education. She graduated from Texas Tech and later earned Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the University of North Texas. She was an English teacher and administrator in the Garland Independent School District and retired in 2004 as the district’s director of secondary schools.
