Religion, Politics,
and Collisions of Faiths
Who has the truth –
preachers, politicos, pollsters or the people?
Many faiths, one world –
can we live in peace?
We live in conflicted times: left versus right, East versus West,
rich versus poor, Arab versus Israeli, war in Iraq, illegal immigration,
and more. How do people of faith respond to these issues?
Theologian and scholar Dr. Martin Marty has been thinking,
writing, and teaching about issues related to religious pluralism for
most of his 55 years in public life. Commentator Bill Moyers has
called Dr.Marty the most influential interpreter of American religion.
He seeks to frame issues so that people of differing faiths and cultures
can arrive at approaches that respect others’ viewpoints without
compromising their own beliefs.
King of Glory invites you to explore these issues with Dr. Marty during his visit September 28–29, 2008.
