King of Glory started as a mission church 50 years ago and moved to its current site in 1968 so that it might be more visible within the community. Through worship and the Word, fine artistic ministries, outstanding programs for children, youth, and adults, and extensive community outreach, King of Glory has become one of the area’s most influential congregations.
King of Glory was one of five founding churches of Family Gateway, a charter participant in Dallas Area Interfaith, and the first church outside South Dallas to actively participate in the Foundation for Community Empowerment’s In the City for Good. It continues to offer a loving and supportive environment that receives people as they are, enables them to discover themselves and their relationship to God, and equips them to serve our community and world in deeds of compassion, justice, and peace.
