Children & Youth
Alleluia Choir
The sacred musical and singing education begins in this choir for children age Kindergarten–2nd grade with an increased awareness of the basic elements of music. The choir rehearses on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The children sing as part of Sunday morning worship every six to eight weeks along with participating in our combined choir festival services.
Laudate Singers
The musical Christian education continues in the Laudate Singers (pronounced lou-DAH-tay, Latin for "praise") for children in grades 3 through 5 with increased emphasis on singing technique and music reading, often singing in multiple parts, along with a greater understanding of Christian musical repertoire and the Lutheran service. Rehearsal time is Sunday morning from 9 to 9:30 a.m. The choir sings on Sunday mornings every four to five weeks along with our major choir festivals.
Jubilate Singers
This choir for youth in grades 6–12 continues to provide musical training as well as praise to our Lord in our traditional services with a varied and extensive Christian repertoire. The Jubilate Singers (pronounced yoo-bee-LAH-tay, Latin for "rejoice") rehearse on Sunday afternoon from 4 to 5 p.m. The choir sings on Sunday mornings every four to five weeks and participates in major choir festivals.
King of Glory Youth Orchestra
We are blessed with many young, gifted instrumentalists at KoG. Scott Loehr, Assistant Director of Music and Artistic Ministries, has begun to organize these young people into a group which plays in worship approximately four times a year and for special events outside of worship. The Youth Orchestra meets for rehearsal on first and third Sunday afternoons at 3:00 p.m.

Adults
New Creation
This adult choir focuses on music for Jazz Worship. New Creation sings a wide variety of music from traditional to contemporary. The ensemble is directed by Scott Loehr, Associate Director of Music and Artistic Ministries. New Creation meets on Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
Glory Ringers
The Glory Ringers handbell choir (comprised of older youth and adults) meets for rehearsal on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The group rings in church approximately once a month beginning in September and ending in May or early June. They occasionally take part in local handbell festivals and events. The ability to read music is helpful, but no prior handbell experience is necessary. They’ll teach you everything you need to know. The Glory Ringers are directed by Jan Fisher and assisted by Elise Dixon and Kari Daelke.
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir sings music from the classical repertoire of the last 500 years. The choir sings each Sunday primarily at 11 a.m., but also sings occasionally at 8:15 a.m. on some festival Sundays. Sanctuary Choir also performs at least one major work with orchestra each year. The ensemble meets for rehearsals at 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday evening, and is conducted by Jim Loeffler, Director of Music and Artistic Ministries.
The Summer Choir
During the summer months, the Sanctuary Choir continues to sing most Sunday mornings, but in a slightly more relaxed atmosphere. This is a great opportunity for those who are "on the fence" about joining to simply show up on Sunday morning and get a feel for singing with us. There are no weekly rehearsals (with a few exceptions), and the music is easy enough to learn in 30 minutes, even if you are not very comfortable reading music. How can you lose?! High School choir members are also welcomed! There are no auditions and no strings attached. Just come and sing. If you have questions, contact Jim Loeffler or Marilyn Cupp.
