As you know, King of Glory generously supports our ministry partners through sharing our benevolence dollars—dollars already given by you through your regular giving. Yet, we know there is increased demand for their services during this challenging time. To make additional financial donations to a ministry partner, go to Our Community, and click on the organization's name. This will take you to that ministry partner’s website where you can make an online donation.
The Storehouse of Collin County is in need of food.
Bring rice, peanut butter or beans, all in 16 oz quantities, to the Weissingers at 6900 Whisperfield Dr., Plano, TX 75024. They will have a bin on their front porch from 8am-8pm each day.
Several organizations have indicated a need for volunteers. We mention this need very cautiously as we recognize our members carefully weigh the need to quarantine against serving the needy at this time. This order contains exceptions for certain essential activities, including businesses that provide food, shelter and social services for the economically disadvantaged. If you desire to volunteer, we urge you to do so cautiously using CDC-recommended practices. These volunteer opportunities include:
Network of Community Ministries, call 972/234-8880
Mount Olive & Park South YMCA, go to inthecityforgood.org or call 214/707-3390.
North Dallas Shared Ministries will provide a bag of groceries for individuals in need. Just call 214/358-8700. You can drive up and they will deliver the bag to your car, then you can deliver to the individual. NDSM is also continuing its Senior Food Basket program on Friday mornings.
The COVID-19 virus is still active, and many have been impacted. Please continue to pray for our healthcare workers, doctors, nurses and their families as they are on the front lines of this crisis. Pray fervently for those fighting the illness and the family and friends who are supporting them. We also pray for all those who have been financially impacted due to reduced hours and loss of wages.
We know that COVID-19 has created unexpected situations for all of us. If you or someone you know has a need, please, fill out the form below. We are here for you.
