King of Glory celebrates graduating high school seniors with the final Stepping Stone: Into the World. For this celebration a "flanket" is presented from the parents to the graduating youth during worship on Mother's Day.
What is a "flanket"? A flanket is a special “faith” blanket. It could be a blanket with the name of the school the youth is attending in the fall, a blanket they have had since childhood, or a blanket made from their favorite t-shirts. There is only one parameter for the flanket, it must be special for the parent and for the graduate. Through prayer this blanket transforms into the flanket, prayers that God will watch over the graduate, guide them and protect them with His love.
