Our Hearts and Hands for Hope

Location: King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6411 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX US 75240

Coordinator: Marilyn Cupp |

Advent . . . a season of hope, where darkness gives way to light, the world is reborn, and God, through Jesus Christ, enters humbly. This Advent, we invite you to reorient yourself to the hope of the season, by giving hope to others.

With Rise Against Hunger, an international relief organization mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030, we will come together to package over 20,000 meals — in one hour! These meals, containing a comprehensive array of micronutrients, will be shipped from Dallas to around the world in support of school feeding programs and crisis relief.

Ages 4 and up can participate. Stations for those who need to work seated are available, too. This event is perfect to invite non-King of Glory friends and family to partner alongside you!

The event begins with an informal worship service led by the Joyful Spirit community, with a reflection by Pastor Jim. Following the meal packaging, we will enjoy a community meal together with chicken tenders from famous Babe’s Chicken Dinner House! Plus, you’ll receive an Advent Study booklet and Advent calendar that will be encouragement for you and your family through this holy season.

Childcare is available, by reservation, for ages infant thru K.

Come, and be a part of this life-giving opportunity. Register by November 28 to attend. There is no monetary cost, just a compassionate heart and willing hands.

I want to attend.
